All submissions must be dropped off and checked in at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds Main Office
(510 Fairgrounds Place Jacksonville, FL 32202) during the following day/times:
Sunday, November 3rd from 10 am - 3 pm
Monday, November 4th from 9 am - 5 pm
Tuesday, November 5th from 9 am - 5 pm
Wednesday, November 6th from 9 am - 5 pm
Judging for 1st place will occur on Thursday, November 7th
Judging for "People's Choice" will occur 11/7 - 11/16
The winners will be announced at the fairgrounds at 3 pm on Sunday November 17th. Winners do not need to be present to win.
1st Place Winner receives $1,000
“People’s Choice” Winner receives $500
All submissions will become the property of The Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair
Materials used must be ferrous or nonferrous metals.
The sculpture must be an original and creative work of the registrant
Sculptures shall be welded, brazed or soldered, depending on the materials used.No mechanical fasteners or adhesives are permitted.
Projects are to be left unpainted, including primers and other coatings.(Exception: sculptures must be clear coated.The exhibition and judging will take place outside so please make sure your sculptures have some kind of clear coat protection from the rain and other outside elements.)
Naturally achieved patinas shall be limited to air, water or heat, or any combination thereof. (No chemically enhanced finishes are permitted.)
All copyright laws must be followed in the creation of the design.
The sculpture must be one continual piece, not multiple pieces unconnected.
Movement is allowed but not required.Moving parts are permitted provided they do not affect the integrity of the piece, or create a safety hazard.
The sculpture must exceed the minimum size of 18” tall x 12” wide x 18” long.
No additional appurtenances can be used (mirrors, stands, etc.) The sculpture shall stand alone. No presentation pieces are permitted.
