Jacksonville Agricultural Fair Association Scholarship Opportunities
Over the past 71 years the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair Association is proud to have contributed over 2.6 million dollars to local charities and awarded scholarships to worthy students who have exhibited a desire to further their education. The Association’s purpose in offering these scholarships is to provide financial support to encourage personal growth and assistance to qualified students planning to major in agriculture, veterinary medicine, and other fields of study.
To be eligible a student must reside in one of the following Florida counties: Duval, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Nassau, or St. Johns. At the time of application, the applicant must be at least a high school senior, enrolled or planning to enroll in a four year university, junior college, or technical institution.
The Scholarship Committee will review only complete packets, which must contain the following:
(1) The application
(2) The applicant's essay, which is a one-page essay and briefly discusses the following:
- Applicant’s background
- Community Involvement. List of any awards or special recognition earned from the community, high school, sorority, fraternity, civic, agricultural, or religious organizations in which the applicant is now or has been involved. Include current activities and those in elementary, middle and high school.
- Participation and awards from 4-H, FFA or other agricultural involvement.
- Participation/service to the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair or other local or state fairs.
- His/her leadership experience within those organizations.
(3) Three original letters of recommendation. If possible, the letters should be written on the letterhead of the person making the recommendation and signed.
The application, the applicant's essay, and the three letters of recommendation must arrive at the same time in the offices of the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair. Packets are due on September 21, 2026.
Please do not fold or staple any part of the application packet that is being submitted. Online is preferred delivery method, but the complete scholarship packet may be mailed, emailed, or hand delivered. Packets that are complete (application, essay, and 3 letters of recommendation) and postmarked by the deadline will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee. The decision of the Committee is final. All applicants will be notified of the results prior to the start of the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair.

Scholarship winners should submit their class schedules (not a screen shot) for each semester to the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair. Upon receipt of each class schedule and school registration, the scholarship recipient will receive a check for the current semester. Scholarship funds will be dispersed to the recipient in (2) installments over two (2) school terms.

The Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair is a 501- (c) 3, nonprofit, educational corporation, a member of the Jacksonville Area Chamber of Commerce, chartered and incorporated by the State of Florida through the Department of Agriculture to educate, entertain, and inform.
