2019 Scholarship Winners

Over the past 64 years the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair Association is proud to have contributed over 2.6 million dollars to local charities and awarded scholarships to worthy students who have exhibited a desire to further their education. The Association’s purpose in offering these scholarships is to encourage personal growth and assistance to qualified students planning to major in agriculture, veterinary medicine, and other fields of study.

To be eligible a student must reside in one of the following Florida counties: Duval, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Nassau, or St. Johns. At the time of application, the applicant must be at least a high school senior, enrolled or planning to enroll in a four year university, junior college, or technical institution.

Miranda Bird

Miranda Bird

Awarded $2,500 Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair Scholarship

Miranda Bird is a student at UNF studying Biology & Political Science working towards a career in Agricultural Law. She has served as President of 4H, earned the Billy Mitchell award with the Civil Air Patrol, and is an active member in her church and community.
Abigail Wilson

Abigail Wilson

Awarded $2,500 My Fair Ladies and Gents Scholarship

Abigail Wilson is a student at Bishop Snyder H.S. She is a member of the Westside Wranglers 4H Club. Abigail participates in the Jacksonville Fair and NEFRSEF (Northeast Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair) where she received an award for her project involving the study of nutrition and genetics in the growth of chickens.
Morgan Cole

Morgan Cole

Awarded $1,000 Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair Scholarship

Morgan Cole is a Senior at Oak Leaf H.S. She plans to further her education at the University of Florida with a major in Agriculture Education & Communication. Morgan has competed in local fairs and has been a member of FFA for 6 years.
Lauren Hix

Lauren Hix

Awarded $1,000 Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair Scholarship

Lauren Hix is a student Keystone Heights H.S. and will earn her AA before graduating high school. She has participated in numerous FFA activities for several years. Lauren plans on attending the University of South Florida and Major in Psychology eventually becoming a Neuropsychologist and Therapist.
Emily Sweep

Emily Sweep

Awarded $1,000 Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair Scholarship

Emily Sweep grew up in JAX and is currently a student at Santa Fe College, Gainesville. She has been very active in FFA and Duval County 4H. She participated and exhibited at the NE FL Fair and our Fair. Her goal is to become an agricultural educator which will combine both her love of teaching and love of animals.
Madeline Read

Madeline Read

Awarded $1,000 North Florida Sales Scholarship

Madeline Read attends Florida State College at Jacksonville and plans to continue her education at the University of North Florida majoring in International relations and eventually attend law school. She has 13 years of experience with the fair and 4H.
Emily Stewart

Emily Stewart

Awarded $1,000 Frank and Olive Inman Scholarship

Emily Stewart attends Middleburg H.S. She has been active in 4H since the age of 5 and is involved with her church youth group, the Clay County Jr. Cattleman’s Association, and FFA. She has exhibited at the Clay County Fair and is a great softball player. Emily’s career aspirations are to become a large animal veterinarian.
