2025 STEM Challenge

Rules:

The STEM Challenge takes place on Monday 11/10 inside PLANTOPIA (EXPO Hall “B”) during the Jacksonville Fair

Deadline to Register is November 9th, 2025

There will be 3 Divisions: ages 8-10; 11-13 and 14-17 years old

Teams will consist of 2 players (single registrants will be combined)

Teams must be pre-registered on www.JacksonvilleFair.com/STEM

The 8-10 division must arrive at PLANTOPIA/EXPO Hall “B” to check-in no later than 1:00p for a 1:15p start

The 11-13 Division must arrive at the EXPO Hall “A” to check-in no later than 2:45pm for a 3:00p start

The 14-17 Division must arrive at the EXPO Hall “A” to check-in no later than 4:30pm for a 4:45p start

Teams will not know what the challenges are until they arrive at the event

Teams will be supplied with all materials and tools needed at the challenge

Some teams will be eliminated after each challenge and some teams will continue on to the next rounds.

The top 3 teams at the end of all challenges (in all divisions) will be declared the winners

1st place wins $350

2nd place wins $250

3rd place wins $150

Checks will be mailed to the winners

Although registration for the STEM Challenge is FREE, you'll still need to pay regular gate admission to the Jacksonville Fair on Monday, 11/10/25. All others must pay standard admission: $15 Adults (13+), $6 for kids ages 6-12, $6 for Seniors (65+), and Kids 5 and under are always FREE.
