NEW: Parking in the Livestock Lot #2 is strictly prohibited unless authorized by the fair office with a Lot #2 parking pass. 

           Vehicles found to be parked without authorization WILL BE TOWED!!!

How To Enter: No Entry Fee. Click on the above link to access an entry form.  Type information on to the form including
your name and SSN.  Entries will not be accepted or premiums paid without this information.

ELIGIBILITY & ENTERING: Entries shall be restricted to bona fide 4-H and FFA members ages 8-18, who have not graduated from high school.  Divisions shall be as follows.  Junior Division, ages 8 to 10 - Intermediate Division, ages 11-13 - Senior Division, ages 14-18 as of September 1st, 2011.  Entries shall be limited to the first 100 goats registered.   The official registration certificate is required for show animals over six months of age.  A duplicate application for registry stamped by the ADGA office is permissible for animals under six months of age.   All animals must be enrolled in the scrapie program and include the ID on the entry form. 

RECEIVING: Goats will be received Tuesday, November 1st, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, November 2nd, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Animals entered in the Greater Jacksonville Fair MUST have a current health certificates.The registration certificate or stamped duplicate application and proof of ownership must be available to the show secretary at time  of check in. All animals must have been owned and cared for by the 4-H and FFA members at lest sixty- (60) days prior to the opening of the Fair.  

SHOW ORDER:  The order of shows will be determined by the number of animals entered in each class and will be posted at the Livestock Office the day of the show. NOTE: Have your animals ready at the start of the show.  A class will not be delayed because you are not ready.

RELEASE AND REMOVAL DATES & TIMES: Youth animals may be removed after 9:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5th.

Rules & Regulations

1. Goats must have certificates of veterinary inspection and a scrapie premise number.  Goats that originate in the State

of Florida no longer need to be tested for tuberculosis or brucellosis.  Goats originating from out of state must have been

tested for tuberculosis and brucellosis within 30 days of the opening day of the fair.  Animals without papers may not be

shown. 

2. All goats must be dehorned. 

3  The Modified Danish System of Judging will be used.  Goats will be judged on conformation and dairy characteristics.

4. Animals must be in acceptable condition, trained to be handled and shown in the arena. 

5.  Exhibitors must be present to show their animals and It is strongly recommended that they wear appropriate 4-H

and FFA attire for the show.

7.  Exhibitors MUST keep the area in front of their pens swept clean at all times.  Bedding will be provided.

***NOTE:  Classes 1-6 may be divided by age at the Superintendent's discretion

Junior Doe Kids: Under 6 months
CLASS 2
Doe Kids - 6 -12 months of age that has not freshened - Born between Nov.1st, 2010 - April 30th, 2011 
CLASS 3 Senior Doe Kids - 12 - 24 months of age that has not freshened - Born between Nov. 1st, 2009 - Oct 31st, 2010
CLASS 4 Milkers under 2 years of age:  Any doe that has freshened -  Born on or after Nov. 1st, 2009
CLASS 5 Milkers over 2 years of age;  Any doe that has freshened - Born between Nov. 1st, 2008 - Oct 31st, , 2010
CLASS 6 Milkers over 4 years of age:  Any doe that has freshened - Born on or before Oct 31st, 2007
