Fancy, Fun, Fantastic
Red & Pink Hat Competition!
October 29th - November 9th
NO ENTRY FEE REQUIRED! If you missed last year's contest at the Fair, you missed out on some fun! This year we want you to enter your Biggest, your Fanciest or Craziest Hat or Hats, for the Second Annual " Red & Pink Hatter's Contest" during the 2008 Greater Jacksonville Fair. Make your hats, as flamboyant, crazy or fanciful as possible!!! The bigger the better! This is one competition where you can really show your talent because appearances do count!!
This is so easy ladies !!! Just design and make your entry or entries at home and bring your hat or hats, to Exhibit Hall “A”, on SATURDAY, October 25th, between the hours of 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Someone will be on hand to assist you. Entries will be judged during the fair and stay on exhibit until the fair ends on Sunday, November 9th. If you have a hat stand to exhibit your hat on, please bring it with you otherwise hats will be displayed on tables.
WIN MAD MONEY and BRAGGING RIGHTS TOO!!! We've changed the categories to make more winners possible, so this is an opportunity for you to really show out!!! The more hats you enter, the more money you may win!! Prizes will be awarded in four (4)categories!
Largest Hat - $50, Fanciest Hat - $50, Craziest Hat - $50 & Fair Favorite $100.00
Entries may be picked up beginning at 8:00 pm, Sunday, November 9th, through noon Monday, November 10th. Checks will be mailed at the conclusion of the fair.
