4-H HORTICULTURE JUDGING
Saturday, November 5th
Registration: 2:00 P.M. - Contest: 2:30 P.M.
Superintendent: Erin Harlow - Duval County Extension
  Location: Exhibit Hall "A"

NEW: Parking in the Livestock Lot #2 is strictly prohibited unless authorized by the fair office with a Lot #2 parking pass.

           Vehicles found to be parked without authorization WILL BE TOWED!!! 

 

At the conclusion of this contest, the contest supervisor will have a form that must be completed  by each iindividual winner. This form will require their name, address and SS#.  A winner who fails to supply their social security number will forfeit all premium money for this contest.  

 

  1. A Horticulture Judging Team shall consist of four (4) bona fide 4-H Club member's ages 8-18. It is strongly recommended that all contestants wear appropriate 4-H attire.
  2. Junior, Intermediate and Senior Division contests will be separate.  Junior Team members will be ages 8-10 as of September 1st of the current year. Intermediate Team members ages 11-13, as of September 1st of the current year.   Senior Team members ages 14-18, as of September 1st of the current year.

  1. Identification of Ornamental Plants
  2. Identification of Vegetables
  3. Identification of Fruits And Nuts
  4. Identification of Flowers And Foliage
  5. Judging or Placing Class

 

High individual placing for team members only. Individual not on a team will judge for practice.
