DANISH JUDGING SYSTEM (MODIFIED)
YOUTH BEEF AND SHEEP

  1. Animals shown in individual classes will be placed in three groups, Blue, Red and White, according to their nearness to ideal conformation.
  2. Every credible animal shown will be placed and receive some cash award.
  3. Animals that are entirely out of condition, or not considered credible, will not be placed in either group.
  4. Individual placing will be made in animals in the Blue Group.
  5. Rosettes will be awarded to Junior and Senior Champions.
  6. Awards will be presented to Grand Champion and Reserve Champion at the Parade of Champions.
  7. There will be a Junior and Senior Fitting & Showmanship Contest with awards as follows:

1st Place - Award 2nd Place - Award 3rd Place - Award

HERDSMAN AND SHEPHERD AWARDS FOR YOUTH

Herdsman and Shepherd Awards will be made on a group basis. All 4-H Clubs and FFA Chapters will compete for these awards as groups. The Fair Management will select a group of judges representative of all areas of exhibit. Each exhibitor should realize that he or she is directly responsible to their club or chapter exhibit and the space it occupies. The Livestock Office will post results at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3rd. Prize money will be made to the club treasurer or other club or chapter official representative. Booth space will be assigned to 4-H Clubs or FFA Chapters as available. 4-H Clubs and FFA Chapter signs should fall within the following limitation - 15" x 4' or 2 ½' x 3'.

THIS AWARD PROGRAM WILL BE SCORED, BASED ON THE FOLLOWING
1.   Condition and cleanliness of herd or flock 25 Points
2.   Attractiveness of exhibit 20 Points
3.   Neatness and cleanliness of herdsman or shepherd 15 Points
4.   Courtesy of herdsman or shepherd 10 Points
5.   Cleanliness of stalls 10 Points
6.   Cleanliness of aisles 10 Points
7.   General cooperation 10 Points
