NEW: Parking in the Livestock Lot #2 is strictly prohibited unless authorized by the fair office with a Lot #2
parking pass. Vehicles found to be parked without authorization WILL BE TOWED!!!
ENTERING: ENTRIES CLOSE OCTOBER 1ST. All entry forms must be filled out completely, i.e. Social Security number
address, date of birth, (youth only), etc. If an exhibitor has a question on how to fill out the breed, class, group
section, etc., of the form, please contact the Rabbit Show Secretary, (786-0304). Entries will not be accepted or
premiums paid without this information.
New: Upon entering your rabbits at the fair, you will be given a slip to list your animals assigned cage numbers. At the
conclusion of the fair, you must bring this slip back to the show superintendent before you will be allowed to redeem your
animals. All animals entered in the Jacksonville Fair Rabbit Show must remain through the duration of the fair.
JUDGING: In judging and entering rabbits, the classifications of The American Rabbit Breeders Association will prevail.
Check the ARBA Guide Book for age, weight and other data on all entries. Due to limited space the Fair reserves the
right to limit entries if all available space has been filled. Only entries from counties surrounding Duval County will be
accepted. Large entries may be limited at the discretion of the Superintendent. Adults may not show in Youth Category.

- YOUTH EXHIBITORS: Must not be over 19 years of age. Date of birth must be shown on the entry form. All entries must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor for at least 30 days prior to the show. Youth may show in the Open Show, but not with an animal that has been shown in the Youth Show.
- RECEIVING: All pre-approved rabbits, does & bucks will be accepted at the Fairgrounds on Tuesday, November 1st, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Exhibitors wishing to cancel a rabbit entry must call at least 24 hours prior to Tuesday, November 1st. .
- There are only 96 allotted cages for the Rabbit Show. If that number is exceeded, the Superintendent will set a limit on the number of rabbits each exhibitor may enter and notify the exhibitor by phone.
- ELIGIBILITY: All rabbits must be of purebred stock with a legible, permanent tattooed earmark in the animals left ear. New: If your rabbit does not have an ear tattoo, you may call Valerie Ansell, 904-945-4411, for assistance. Rabbits entered in Fur Class must be entered and compete in a regular class.
- JUDGING: Entries will be judged on Wednesday, November 2nd at approximately 10:00 a.m. In judging and entering rabbits, the classifications of the American Rabbit Breeder's Association will prevail. Judging will be conducted in a designated area. No one will be permitted inside the judging area except officials of the show and their helpers. Animals may not be removed from their cage, (pen) except for judging or with the permission of the Superintendent. The decision of the judges after being ratified by the Fair Management, shall be final. 4-H Showmanship will follow the lunch break after judging has concluded.
- SICK ANIMALS: Sick or diseased rabbits will not be admitted in the show room. Any animal rejected on entry day because of sickness or disease will not be allowed to return to the show room. Upon arrival if any rabbit shows signs of illness or disease, at the owner's expense, it will be quarantined and cared for by an experienced rabbit raiser, until the owner can be notified.
- BREEDING OF ANIMALS: Animals may not be bred in the showroom except with both the owner and the Show Superintendent present.
- RELEASE / REMOVAL DATE AND TIMES: All rabbits will be released Sunday, November 13th, beginning at 9:00 P. M. but no later than 10:00 P. M. You must bring the slip given to you when you checked your animals in that lists your animals cage numbers and give it to the Show Superintendent before your animals will be released. Rabbits will not be released nor premiums paid without this release slip. Any animal removed prior to this time with out the consent of the Show Superintendent and the Fair Officials will forfeit all awards. The Jacksonville Fair will not be responsible for any animal not picked up by the deadline as stated above.
- PASSES: The Livestock Office will supply each exhibitor with four (4) one-day entrance passes.

YOUTH AWARDS: Awards will be presented in the Livestock Arena Show Ring at The Parade of Champions,
Saturday, November 5th, at 8:00 P.M. A list of winners will be posted on the bulletin board of the Livestock Office
and on the door of the Rabbit Office by 5:00 p.m. the day after judging.
OPEN AWARDS: May be picked up at 9:00 p.m., Sunday, November 13th, from the Rabbit Office. AWARDS WILL
NOT BE MAILED.

The Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair will not be responsible for loss by accident, fire, theft or providential destruction. The Fair reserves the right to reject or accept conditionally any entry or application at any time. To revoke premiums earned or terminate any exhibit for just cause, and such decision shall be final. The Greater Jacksonville Fair will not be responsible for damages done by animals or injuries to animals.
