2011 Fair Entertainment

This year, the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair's entertainment lineup promises something for everyone. A broad range of top performers will take the stage during the 12-day event, treating audiences to everything from classic rock, country and blues to golden oldies.  All entertainment will be on the outdoor stage and will be free with admission to the Fair.

VIP Seating is offered @ $10 per ticket (gate admission not included).  VIP Seating is for select shows on a first come, first serve basis in a reserved area not reserved seating.  If you wish to charge your VIP tickets, CLICK HERE .  This link will take you to our on-line store where you may purchase your tickets.  VIP tickets will not be mailed after,October 28th, they will be held for pick-up in the Fair Administration Office.

The JaneDear Girls

The JaneDear Girls are a country duo fronted by Danelle Leverett and Susie Brown. Both were already pursuing music careers when they met at a Nashville club. The duo's first single, "Wildflower," was released by Warner Bros. Nashville in 2010. “Wildflower” is a perfect introduction to their high energy, soaring harmonies, and world-class instrumental prowess. It’s also a song whose very roots express the organic unity of the approach Susie and Danelle take to life and music

Little Big Town

Little Big Town is a country vocal quartet comprised of Kimberly Schlapman, Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook and Phillip Sweet. They formed in the late 1900s, first as a due, then as a trio, until finally they became the quartet they would take to stardom. Little Big Town steadily honed their craft for years by performing, recording and writing. Their dedication and perseverance paid off when their 2005 album, “The Road to Here,” was certified platinum and they received the first of four consecutive nominations for the Country Music Association’s Vocal Group of the Year.

Phil Vassar

This Virginia-born songwriter and musician has undoubtedly made his mark in Nashville as an acclaimed artist. Vassar is known not only for his gift for hit songwriting, but also for his compelling and highly entertaining skills on the piano. His uniquely piano-based, rhythm and blues-infused, infectiously buoyant brand of music has carried Phil throughout his career and remains his specialty in the genre.

James Wesley

Country singer/songwriter James Wesley was born and raised in Mound Valley, KS. Originally signed to Warner Bros. in 1999 as James Prosser, he released one album, “Life Goes On,” before adopting the Wesley moniker. After relocating to Nashville, Wesley hooked up with songwriter Rodney Clawson and producer Dan Frizsell, inked a deal with Broken Bow Records, and released the single "Jackson Hole." The song debuted at number 54 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, and was followed in 2010 by a second single, "Real."

Instantly recognizable as the voice behind "Devil With The Blue Dress” and “Good Golly Miss Molly,” Mitch Ryder holds an unchallenged place in rock history. High octane Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels served as the musical bridge between the Motown soul factory and the high energy, rock 'n' roll that would roar out of Detroit via Iggy & The Stooges, Ted Nugent and Bob Seger. Currently residing in Livonia, Michigan, Ryder is performing and touring through Europe and the United States.

Josh Kelley’s debut country release, Georgia Clay, is an intriguing collection of songs that serve as a musical interpretation of his life story, a vivid exploration of the people and places that molded him into who he is today. Kelley is co-producer of Georgia Clay with Clint Lagerberg.

Georgia Satellites

This rock quartet was formed as the Hellhounds in 1980 in Atlanta, Georgia. After a small-budget independent EP, they signed to Elektra Records. Their debut album rose to number 5 in the US charts in 1987, thanks to the Top 5 success of the inspired single ‘Keep Your Hands To Yourself.” The band went their separate ways after more hit singles, but Rick  Richards and Rick Price re-formed the Georgia Satellites in 1996, recruiting Billy Pitts and Joey Huffman to help record Shaken Not Stirred.

ABC  Wines and Spirits, along with their distributors and Magic Radio, are sponsoring and hosting Magic Wine Down on the last day of the Fair. For only $5, there will be a wine-tasting for those of age, live music and a magician.
